Registered Psychologist
About Me
I am a psychologist who loves working with clients through a client centred and strengths-based approach. My passion is to help individuals navigate their mental health challenges and guide individuals to become the ‘best’ version of themselves. I work with clients to explore their emotions, thoughts, and behaviours, providing a safe and supportive environment to foster healing and personal growth.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, drinking coffee, bush walking and grabbing a bite.
Presentations
I specialise in working with a wide range of individuals, including:
- Adults and Young Adults: Managing anxiety, depression, low mood, stress, burnout, panic, borderline personality disorder and OCD symptoms.
- People facing Life Transitions: Managing symptoms associated with significant life changes, such as career, relocation, relationship, motherhood or personal growth.
- Grief and Loss: Managing symptoms associated with losing something or someone significant to you.
- Neurodiversity: Managing symptoms if you suspect (or have been formally diagnosed) with ADHD and/or ASD neurotype.
Whether you’re facing specific mental health concerns or simply looking for support in your personal or professional life, I’m here to help.
Therapies
I employ evidence-based approaches tailored to each individual’s unique needs. Some of the therapies I use include:
- Solution Focused Brief Therapy: Supporting clients to find solutions rather than focusing on analysing problems.
- Schema Therapy: Supporting clients to identify themes formed in response to early life experiences due to unmet emotional needs and how to learn to get emotional needs met in a healthy manner.
- Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT): Supporting clients to apply acceptance and mindfulness skills to experiences that are outside of their control and become more aligned with their personal values.
- Interpersonal Therapy: Focuses on addressing interpersonal issues and improving communication and developing healthy relationship skills.
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT): A structured, goal-oriented psychotherapy that helps individuals identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours to improve emotional regulation and coping strategies.
