About Me
Ainsley is a registered psychologist with ten years of experience working primarily in private practice with adults experiencing complex mental health presentations. Ainsley primarily uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help clients manage their symptoms, understand the underlying causes of their difficulties, and work toward meaningful, long-term change. Her approach is focused on building insight, developing practical coping strategies, and supporting clients to improve their day-to-day functioning and overall wellbeing.

Therapies
I employ evidence-based approaches tailored to each individual’s unique needs. Some of the therapies I use include:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Helping you change negative thinking patterns and behaviours.
- Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT): Balancing acceptance and change through mindfulness and emotional regulation.
- Schema Therapy: Schema Therapy helps identify and change deep-rooted patterns from childhood that affect their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Aims to increase psychological flexibility by accepting distressing thoughts and emotions while committing to positive actions.
- Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT): Concentrates on finding solutions rather than analysing problems.
- Trauma-Focused CBT: Healing from traumatic events through targeted intervention.
