Psychologist Perth

Online Psychologists for Women in Perth

Life in Perth can be busy and demanding – whether you’re working long hours, studying, raising a family, caring for others, or juggling all of the above. When you’re trying to keep everything going while also dealing with anxiety, low mood, stress, trauma or major life changes, it can start to feel overwhelming.

Pynk Health is an online psychology clinic created specifically for women. Our all-female team of psychologists and counsellors provide confidential Telehealth sessions via secure video and phone, supporting women living in Perth and across Western Australia.

Whether you’re in the Perth CBD, northern suburbs, southern suburbs, the hills or regional WA, you can access compassionate, evidence-based support without needing to travel to a clinic.

Meet Our Perth Psychologists

Our Perth psychologists are part of Pynk Health’s Australia-wide team of female clinicians. Rather than trying to work out which psychologist is the best female psychologist Perth has to offer, we focus on matching you with a clinician whose skills, style and availability line up with what you need. They understand the realities of living in WA – distance, demanding work environments and the pressure to just get on with things.

Some of the Pynk Health psychologists who support women in Perth include:

How Online Therapy Works in Perth

All Pynk Health appointments are delivered online via secure Telehealth, so you can see a psychologist in Perth from wherever you feel most comfortable.

You can choose between:

  • Video sessions – using a secure, confidential online video platform
  • Phone sessions – if you feel more at ease talking without being on camera

To make therapy more accessible for women with busy lives, appointments can also be booked after-hours and on weekends, which can be especially helpful if you’re working full-time, doing shift work or managing family commitments during the day.

Online psychology can be particularly useful if you:

  • Live far from the CBD or in regional/remote parts of WA
  • Have limited access to local services or transport
  • Are caring for children or other family members
  • Find it difficult to attend in-person appointments due to anxiety, health or mobility issues

Many women find that Telehealth makes it easier to be open and honest, because they can join sessions from a familiar, private space at home, at work or even from their car.

What Our Perth Psychologists Can Help You With

You don’t have to wait until things feel “bad enough” to seek support. If something isn’t sitting right emotionally, mentally or in your relationships, that’s reason enough to reach out.

Our Perth psychologists support women with a wide range of concerns, including:

Depression and low mood

Feeling flat, empty or disconnected can make everyday tasks feel heavy. Therapy can help you understand what’s contributing to your mood and find steps towards feeling more like yourself again.

Anxiety, worry and panic

Persistent worry, racing thoughts, physical anxiety symptoms and panic can be exhausting. We’ll work with you to understand your anxiety and build practical tools to manage it.

Stress and burnout

Work demands, caring roles and financial pressures can take a toll over time. We can help you spot signs of burnout early, reset boundaries and create a more sustainable pace.

Trauma and PTSD

Past experiences, including trauma, can continue to affect your emotions, body, sleep and sense of safety. We offer a trauma-informed space where you can slowly and safely process what’s happened.

Grief and loss

Grief can follow bereavement, relationship breakdowns, health changes, job loss and other major life events. We’ll walk alongside you as you navigate your grief at your own pace.

Relationships and family issues

Romantic relationships, family dynamics, friendships and workplace relationships can all be sources of stress. Therapy can help you understand patterns, clarify your needs and improve communication and boundaries.

Body image and eating difficulties

Concerns about food, weight and body image can quietly shape many parts of your life. We provide non-judgemental support to help you develop a more balanced, compassionate relationship with your body and eating.

Substance use and coping behaviours

If alcohol or other substances have become a main way of coping, we can help you understand what role they’re playing and explore safer, more sustainable alternatives.

Perinatal and postnatal mental health

Fertility struggles, pregnancy, birth and early parenthood can bring big emotional changes. We support women through anxiety, low mood, identity shifts and overwhelm in the perinatal period.

Perimenopause and menopause

Hormone changes can impact your mood, sleep, body and relationships. We can help you make sense of these changes and develop tools for managing this life stage.

Neurodiversity, including ADHD and Autism ASD

Many women start to question ADHD or autism later in life, often after years of masking or feeling “different”. We support you to explore your traits, build self-understanding and develop strategies that work with your brain.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

Intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviours can be distressing and time-consuming. Therapy can help you understand these patterns and gradually reduce their grip on your daily life.

ADHD and ASD Assessments for Women in Perth

Pynk Health also offers:

ADHD assessments for women

Comprehensive Telehealth assessments that may include interviews, questionnaires and collateral information, followed by a detailed written report outlining your results and recommendations.

Autism (ASD) assessments for women

Thorough Telehealth assessments that recognise how autism can present differently in women, along with a clear report and practical suggestions for support.

All ADHD and ASD assessments are completed online via secure video, so women in Perth and across Western Australia can complete the process without travelling to an in-person clinic.

Therapy Approaches Our Perth Psychologists Use

Our Perth psychologists use a range of evidence-based therapies, tailored to your goals, preferences and history. Depending on what you’re going through, your psychologist may draw on:

Perth psychologist speaking with a client
Perth client during her psychology session
Perth therapist talking to her patient

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

To identify and shift unhelpful thinking and behaviour patterns.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

To help you respond differently to painful thoughts and feelings while moving towards what matters most to you.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) – Informed strategies

To build skills in managing strong emotions, coping with crises and improving relationships.

Schema Therapy

To explore deeper patterns and beliefs that may be shaping your self-worth, relationships and choices.

Narrative Therapy

To help you step back from problems and reframe your story in ways that highlight your strengths and values.

Mindfulness-based therapies

To support grounding, self-awareness and emotional regulation.

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Where appropriate, to assist in processing traumatic memories and reducing ongoing distress.

Your psychologist will discuss different options with you and check in regularly to make sure the approach still feels right as therapy progresses.

Fees, Rebates and Referrals for Perth Psychologists

PLEASE NOTE: We do not offer bulk billing.

We understand that cost is an important part of deciding whether to start or continue therapy, so we aim to be as transparent as possible about fees and rebates.

For most standard therapy sessions, fees range from $225–$282 per appointment, depending on the clinician and appointment type. If you have a referral and a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP or psychiatrist, your approximate out-of-pocket cost is usually around $140 per session once the Medicare rebate has been applied.

You may also be able to claim a rebate through your private health fund, depending on your level of cover and the fund’s rules. The rebate amount will vary between policies. Our admin team can help you understand your options and decide whether Medicare, private health, or a combination at different times is likely to be most suitable for you.

Appointments can be scheduled weekly, fortnightly or less often, depending on your needs, goals and budget. To accommodate busy lifestyles in Perth, we also offer after-hours and some weekend availability, subject to each clinician’s schedule. For up-to-date information on fees, rebates and times, please contact us directly.

Seeing a Perth Psychologist vs Our Australia-Wide Team

If you live in Perth or elsewhere in Western Australia, you can choose to:

  • Work with a Perth-based psychologist, or
  • See a psychologist from another part of Australia who feels like the best fit for you.

Some women prefer the idea of speaking with someone who also lives in WA and understands the local context and lifestyle. Others feel more comfortable connecting with a clinician in another city or state. Both options are perfectly valid – what matters most is that you feel safe, respected and understood.

Because all of our appointments are held online via secure video or phone, you’re not limited by distance or postcode. We’ll help you find a psychologist whose personality, experience and availability match what you’re looking for, whether they’re in Perth or elsewhere in Australia, including after-hours or weekend options where possible.
