About Me

I’m Georgia, an AHPRA-registered clinical psychologist with a background in working with adult and older-adult populations. I am passionate about supporting clients to identify helpful and unhelpful responses to difficult emotions, thoughts, and behaviours, and build insight into past experiences that may have influenced their current way of coping. Whilst psychodynamic psychotherapy informs most of my work, I integrate various therapeutic approaches to meet the unique needs of the individual. I adopt an explorative, informal, and transparent style, and believe in the importance of a collaborative therapeutic relationship. I hope to work together to build a deeper understanding of your personality, and in-turn, foster a more flexible and fulfilling life.

Presentations

I see adults and older adults with a broad range of concerns, including:

  • Grief and Loss
  • Life Transitions
  • Burn-out
  • People-pleasing and Perfectionism
  • Relationship Problems
  • Impacts of Trauma
  • Sleep Issues
  • Anxiety and Depression
  • Panic
  • Identity challenges

Therapies

I integrate various evidence-based approaches, including:

  • Psychodynamic Psychotherapy – encourages clients to explore their past and unconscious thoughts to build self-awareness – this approach tends to be more effective with more frequent and longer-term contact
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – supports clients to apply acceptance and mindfulness skills to experiences that are outside of their control, and behave more consistently with their personal values
  • Interpersonal Psychotherapy – focuses on improving interpersonal functioning
  • Motivational Interviewing – focuses on enhancing client’s motivation for change
  • Reminiscence Therapy – recalling episodic memories and strengths from a client’s past to develop a sense of life continuity, and enhance resilience
