About Me

Nicole Is a compassionate and caring psychologist who aims to empower her clients through their therapeutic journey. She has over eight years of experience working within the mental health field, having worked as a support worker and team leader prior to becoming a psychologist. Nicole’s experience as a psychologist has mainly been in private practice, though she completed a placement in her Masters in Queensland Health in the Cancer Care Department. Nicole uses a client-centred, strengths based approach to allow clients to explore their emotions, thoughts, and behaviours, providing a safe and supportive environment to foster healing and personal growth. Nicole is dedicated to providing a personalised treatment based upon each individual client’s unique needs and goals.

Therapies

I employ evidence-based approaches tailored to each individual’s unique needs. Some of the therapies I use include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Helping you change negative thinking patterns and behaviours.
  • Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT): Balancing acceptance and change through mindfulness and emotional regulation.
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Helping you to overcome difficult situations, emotions and thoughts and reduce avoidance.
  • Trauma-Focused Therapy: Healing from traumatic events through targeted interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
