Clinical Psychologist

About Me

I’m Kiia, a clinical psychologist with over 10 years of experience in the field of mental health in both Finland and Australia (I am registered in both countries). I appreciate that every person has their own challenges, and there is no one size fits all solution in mental health. My approach is client-centred, and specialises in supporting you with finding the right solution, rather than ready answers.

I’ve also undertaken the additional training and compliance requirements required to work within the NDIS framework, ensuring services are delivered in line with NDIA practice standards, participant safety, ethical care and quality support principles.

  • Performance: Improving performance in sport, arts and other areas
  • Individuals with Trauma: PTSD, grief, and trauma recovery
  • People Facing Life Transitions: Career changes, relocation, or personal growth

Therapies

I employ evidence-based approaches tailored to each individual’s unique needs. Some of the therapies I use include:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Helping you change negative thinking patterns and behaviours.
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Inviting you to open up to unpleasant feelings, not to overreact to them and not to avoid situations that cause them
  • Mindfulness-Based Therapy: Focusing on living in the present and reducing stress.
  • Ego-StateTherapy: Different sides of the self, Integrating and improving communication between the sides: derived from Hypnotherapy
  • Trauma-Focused Therapy: Healing from traumatic events through targeted interventions. Currently completing Psychotherapy course (2026), so my knowledge is deepening constantly
