About Me

I am Unami Magwenzi, a licensed Clinical psychologist with over 20 years’ experience in the mental health space. I am passionate about helping people navigate the challenges of life and walking through the various seasons they may face. I believe in giving hope, encouragement and inspiration to people by helping them find a healthy place for their pain, align their gifts with purpose and remain connected to their true sense of self.

Psychological therapy is one of the vehicles through which I feel I can fulfil that desire to give people from all walks of life hope to live their lives to their fullest potential. I am passionate about providing clinically grounded therapy, working with adults going through trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, emotional eating, ADHD-related overwhelm, and the demands of balancing faith, family, business, and everyday responsibilities.

If you are wondering if I will understand you, I know about fear, anxiety, discouragement, helplessness, hopelessness, rejection, grief and loss. From my own life experiences I understand the challenges around managing various conflicts in family relationships, weight management issues, financial difficulties, and dealing with physical health challenges.

Among my other big interests is the area of navigating ADHD as an adult having been a late ADHD diagnosis myself. My approach is practical, compassionate, and evidence-based, helping clients gain clarity, emotional stability, and confidence.
